Customer Feedback:

“Ethical Solar were everything we were looking for from start to finish. From our first meeting it was clear they knew the solar panel business and the completed work was faultless. A nice bunch of guys to work with and I highly recommend them.”

Customer feedback a year on

“It is exactly 1 year since you commissioned my solar installation. The array was 3.96Kw.

Government SAP 2005 figures suggested I would get 3100KW/year, the EC joint research tool suggested 3600Kw/year.

My meter reading shows 4214Kw, a very healthy increase over what now seems to have been very conservative estimates.

I do my best to use the generated power ‘in house’, but at best I hope I am capturing 50% of it. So at 14p per unit. Or thereabouts, I reckon to add 7p on to each unit generated. So, 41.5p + 1.5p + 7p = 50p per unit and a TAX FREE return on investment in the region of £2100. Very satisfactory.”

This home solar panel system was installed alongside a hot water solar system that had previously been installed on the roof. To avoid solar shading from their large chimney we placed the solar array well to the left of the roof. The finished system covered an area of 18m2.

Customer Feedback:

“We would like to say that we are very pleased with the standard of workmanship of our home solar installation.

From the commencement when Rob came to give us a quote he was extremely thorough in measuring and planning the siting of the panels and we were able to choose the make of panels and also he fully explained everything to us.

The scaffolding was erected a few days prior to the solar panel installation and this was done very quickly with no mess or inconvenience.

Despite extremely wet and windy weather everyone worked very hard and enthusiastically and we felt very confident with the quality of the solar installation. We were very pleased that you managed to run the cable from the loft to the kitchen inside the house so there were no unsightly cables on show.

Following completion of the solar panel installation, the whole solar electricity system was tested and all the controls were fully explained and also all the paperwork necessary to get payment from our energy supplier were completed and given to us.

The scaffolding was removed a few days later without any fuss. The whole team was very friendly indeed and we can thoroughly recommend your firm to anyone who is thinking of generating their own electricity”
